Bhavishya Malika is described as a collection of texts composed about six hundred years ago in Odisha by the Panchsakha saints under the divine inspiration of Lord Jagannath. The teachings were kept confidential so that knowledge of future events would not create disorder before the proper time.
The tradition speaks of the end of Kali Yuga, the manifestation of Lord Kalki, the gathering of devotees, and the restoration of dharma. It presents prophecy not simply as a forecast, but as an invitation to prayer, self-discipline, service, compassion and spiritual preparation.
